Actors, Actresses and Filmmakers!
We look forward to helping you spread the word about your talent!
Before you submit your work for broadcast on Hollywood TV, please review some of the
Broadcast Standards below that must be met before your work can air.
After reading the info below, and thinking about what you are submitting for broadcast, if you are still unsure if your submission contains content that may or may not meet the Broadcast Standards mandated by Roku and/or Hollywood TV, feel free to submit it anyway and wait to see if your submission is accepted by Hollywood TV for broadcast. If it is accepted, but contains some portion that isn't, you will be notified by email as to what needs to be changed in order for it to air. You know your content. If you think it meets the Broadcast Standards as outlined in the guidelines above, then it will probably be fine.
Also, please note:
We have received numerous submissions, so please allow at least two weeks before you will receive an acceptance email. Unfortunately, we are unable to notify you if your submission was not accepted. If you don't receive an acceptance email within a month from your original submission, please review your submission again to see if there are any reasons as to why it might not have been accepted, and make any changes you feel might need to be made, and then re-submit it again. If you feel that everything is fine, but that it might have just been overlooked (which is always possible), feel free to submit it again.
Bottom line: We are here to help get your scenes seen!
Broadcast Standards & Guidelines

Slate
It is recommended that your acting reel has a slate, with your name and contact information, so that agents, managers and producers will know how to reach you if they like your work. Here are examples of accepted slates for broadcast.
Your slate, however, must not include a phone number.
If it does, your reel or film may be removed by Roku.
Also, your slate can only be on the screen for no more than 5 seconds at the beginning of your video, and no more than 10 seconds at the end of your video.
Therefore, all videos that appear on Hollywood TV that have a slate, can only have the following:
- the actor's name,
- the actor's website address
- your agent or manager's name and their website address.
If your video reel or film has been approved for broadcast by Hollywood TV, but contains a slate with any of the forbidden info, you are welcome to re-edit your slate yourself with a new slate that meets the necessary broadcast guidelines. There are a number of editing programs on the market for you to use to do that. Once you make the editing changes, resubmit your reel or film after the changes are made.
If you are unable to edit it yourself, or don't have the time to
and you need us to edit it for you, "Click Here".
Editing cost: $35, includes professionally produced slate with your name and photo at the beginning and the end of your slate,
along with your broadcast approved contact info.
Offensive Content
Due to our broadcast agreement with Roku, all content shown on Hollywood TV must be as "family-friendly" as possible, with absolutely no nudity, no extreme violence and very minimal useage of "4-letter words".
If your acting reel or film was accepted for broadcast on Hollywood TV, but contains content that some viewers may find offensive, it will need to be removed or "beeped out" before we can broadcast your reel or film.
If you need us to make the editing changes for you, "Click Here".
Editing cost: $50, includes editing out the potentially offensive content, adding a "beep" or silencing any potentially offensive language, etc.

Copyrighted Material
Some video reels contain content that, due to licensing or copyright constraints, you are unable to submit for broadcast on television. Even if you have necessary clearances, the broadcasting of your reel or film may be slowed down while those clearances are checked.
If some of your reel contains content that you are permitted to broadcast, along with content that you are not permitted to broadcast or don't have permission to feature, you will need to edit out the unauthorized content before your video can air, or Roku and/or Hollywood TV, may pull your reel or film. If you need us to edit out certain content from your reel or film for you, "Click Here".
Editing cost: $50, includes the removal of the content that needs to be removed for broadcasting. We can also rearrange your remaining clips upon your request.
